WEDNESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER -SPECIAL WORKSHOP WITH VISITING TEACHER, PRACTICA UNTIL MIDNIGHT

Tango Aberdeen is honoured and delighted to welcome MILENA PLEBS – master teacher, choreographer, and performer.

MILENA PLEBS is extremely relevant in the history of Argentine Tango. Originally a professional contemporary dancer at San Martin Theatre in Buenos Aires she was then instrumental in the rebirth of tango in the 1980’s. She performed in the Claudio Segovia andHector Orezzoli hit show ‘Tango Argentino’ (1986-1989), and set up the ‘Tango x 2 Company’ with Miguel Zotto. Together they created, choreographed, produced and starred in eight full stage tango productions, many of which toured internationally.

Milena has since presented her own company ‘Milena Tango Dance Theatre’ to critical acclaim. Milena has written for ‘El Tangauta’ magazine and is an Honorary academic in the National Tango Academy of Argentina. She teaches and presents tango seminars in prestigiousfestivals in Argentina and around the world.

In September 2018 Milena will tour Europe and has accepted an invitation to pay a fleeting visit to Aberdeen, invited by one of Aberdeen’s tangueros, Albert Williams.
